Privacy Policy
Recurso.org (“Recurso”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a platform for discovering digital resources and artificial intelligence services. We design the service with privacy in mind and collect only the personal data needed to operate, protect and improve it.
1. Data controller and contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact us at privacy@recurso.org. Please do not send sensitive personal information by email unless it is necessary to handle your request.
2. Personal data we collect
Recurso does not require an account for ordinary browsing or searching. Depending on how you use the service, we may process:
- Search and request content: the text needed to return results. We do not use it to build a personal profile.
- Optional messages: information you choose to send when contacting us or suggesting a resource, such as your email address and message.
- Technical and security data: limited information needed to deliver the service, prevent abuse and diagnose failures, such as timestamps, request status and basic device or server information. We do not use this to track you across unrelated services.
- Consent choices: where required, a record of your advertising and privacy choices.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data, precise location, contacts, photographs, advertising identifiers, or children’s data. Please do not submit such information.
3. How we use data
We use data only to provide and secure Recurso, respond to requests, maintain the catalogue, measure service reliability in aggregate, comply with legal obligations, and protect users and our systems from fraud or abuse.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not rent personal data or use it for direct marketing without a lawful basis and, where required, your consent.
- We do not share personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing.
- We do not create advertising profiles based on your searches.
5. Service providers and limited sharing
We may use carefully selected providers to host the service, deliver email, protect infrastructure, or serve advertising. They may process only the information needed for the agreed service and must protect it. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to investigate abuse. We do not share more data than necessary.
6. Advertising
We may use Google AdSense or other advertising services to help fund Recurso. Advertising providers may receive technical information such as a page URL, IP address, cookies or similar storage, subject to their policies and your choices. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we will request consent where required before serving personalised advertising and will provide a way to change or withdraw that choice.
We do not sell or upload our own user database to advertisers.
7. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Optional messages are deleted when they are no longer needed. Aggregated statistics that cannot reasonably identify a person may be retained for service planning.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including access limitation, secure connections where available, validation and minimisation. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your rights, we will follow applicable notification requirements.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Contact privacy@recurso.org. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
Recurso is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
11. External services and links
Recurso may link to third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are independent from ours. Review their policies before providing information or using their services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the service, law or our data practices change. We will publish the new version and effective date on this page. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
